Reed has published extensively in prominent journals, including American Journal of Political ScienceJournal of PoliticsAmerican Political Science Review, and Journal of Conflict Resolution. His research has been supported by competitive grants and awards from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, and the Army Research Lab.

My research focuses on the causes, dynamics, and resolution of international and civil conflict. I’ve published work in leading journals, including American Political Science ReviewAmerican Journal of Political Science, and Journal of Politics. Much of my work centers on developing and testing bargaining models that help explain interactions between key political actors, such as states and rebel groups. I’ve also collaborated on lab experiments that draw on behavioral economics to explore how these models perform under different conditions.
